Cheng specialises in helping clients navigate complex legal and regulatory issues in data, AI, privacy and cybersecurity.
He has acted on two of the largest and most public cyber security breaches in Australia. This has involved incident response, advising general counsel and Boards, notifying regulators and affected individuals, and dealing with regulatory investigations.
Cheng is also the leader of the KWM Data and Tech sector and is responsible for leading the firm’s response to the impact of technology and digitisation on business and the economy.
