Gennadiy has spent more than 20 years in cybersecurity. He has worked across the spectrum of roles, - more technical, mostly focussing on network security, and less technical ones, - covering architecture, risk and compliance. Last last 7 years he has been with the InfoSec Customer Trust team at Akamai Technologies as a Principal Technical Program Manager.
Gennadiy's main interest lies in understanding and solving cybersecurity problems applying the ideas of system view of safety and human factors, - understanding the interactions between technology and people.
Gennadiy is completing an MSc in Human Factors and System Safety at Lund University (Sweden), researching on human performance through the lenses of Resilience Engineering and Joint Cognitive Systems, looking how people cope with complexity in cybersecurity, anticipating an adverse cyber event.
