Frank den Hartog (Senior Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Leiden University. He is a Professor with the Network Engineering and Cyber Security Capability, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Canberra, where he holds the Cisco Research Chair of Critical Infrastructure. He is also an Adjunct Fellow with the University of New South Wales Canberra, Australia Defence Force Academy. He specializes in complex wireless networked systems research and analysis, with a particular interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber–physical systems. From 2003 to 2016, he was a Senior Scientist with the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and studied Future Internet architectures and heterogeneous consumer networking. Before joining TNO, he worked for the Dutch incumbent telecommunications operator KPN, where he pioneered the home networking and IoT research area.
