Daryl Sheppard is a cyber security professional with nearly two decades of experience in a range of cyber security roles within government and private enterprise. Daryl has performed many roles over his time in the industry ranging from technical to management. He is an IRAP Assessor and is currently a PhD candidate through the University of Tasmania researching the human factors related to cyber security and how organisations can improve their approach to addressing problems in ‘Layer 8’. Daryl is also passionate about using his experience and expertise to promote cyber security to the community both generally and within the cyber security industry. He has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has conducted training courses on various cyber security subjects for different organisations. Daryl has written a course for the online training provider Cybrary and has also presented several times at the Australian Information Security Association National and Regional Conferences.
