Arjun Xavshaw (Xavier) is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a decade and a half of experience serving the Australian Department of Defence. As a Principal Cyber Security Consultant, IRAP Assessor, and Cyber Educational Trainer at Alpha Echo, Arjun leverages his expertise to safeguard Australia's national security.
Arjun's military career with the Air Force has taken him around the globe, where he has represented Australia as a liaison to the Middle East and played a pivotal role in protecting the nation's borders from both physical and cyber threats. He has led the Air Force's ICT certification team, providing expert guidance on policy, security architecture, vulnerability management, and governance for hundreds of Defence networks. His contributions have also shaped the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual (ISM).
In addition to his military experience, Arjun has consulted across the Federal government with Tesserent, conducting GRC and IRAP assessments and instructing with ALC Training. He currently leads an assessment and authorization program for an upcoming Defence ISR capability.
Arjun's extensive qualifications include the CISSP, Australian Signals Directorate IRAP, SABSA, numerous SANS certifications, and the ISACA series: CRISC, CISA, CISM. He holds a Master of Business Administration from UniSA and a Master of Cyber Security - Incident Response from UNSW.
