Alina Abramenko is a PhD student in Criminology (Cybercrime) within the School of Social Sciences at Monash University, Australia. Alina Abramenko has received her MS in Criminal Justice from Boston University, USA. Currently, she is researching digital resilience against sextortion. Her main research interests are online sexual perpetration, long-lasting consequences in secondary and tertiary victimisation, application of VIVA analysis in cybercrime and cybercrime investigation. On top of that, her research area covers trauma, crisis intervention and distinction between positive and negative responses to trauma: post-traumatic disorder vs post-traumatic growth in survivors of cybercrime.
