Synopsis

If you’ve been using boring PowerPoints based on dry old content, then you’ve been approaching cyber tabletop exercises the wrong way!

Come to our presentation to experience a different approach to tabletops. Learn how to utilise technology-enabled scenarios, adversary emulation and avatars to engage with executives and boards. Help stakeholders contextualise cyber risk and improve decision making.

Our session will utilise our collective consulting, industry and government experience, to deliver our view on tabletop exercises using a proven methodology for gamified learning and development.

Our method includes the facilitation of executive board and tabletop exercises providing a framework for consistent and repeatable events. In our experience, current approaches to tabletop exercises are reliant on the individual facilitators leading the exercise, are heavily manual and often costly, resulting in an inconsistent customer experience. In addition, exercise outcomes are not scalable or repeatable.

We intend to demonstrate to attendees, that technology can enable and support tabletop exercises in a more efficient way. An additional component of technology-enabled tabletops provides attendees with a more immersive and realistic experience thereby providing an alternative means of educating non-cyber audiences about cyber risk and the means of conceptualising appropriate mitigations. Our session is focused on demonstrating scenario-based technology-led exercise examples based on our methodology and demonstrating lessons learned through client case studies focused on a discussion regarding how attendees could apply this methodology outside of the presentation environment.
